Eleven NSA String Players Selected for Honor Orchestra

Congratulations to the eleven Nevada School of the Arts string students selected for this year’s Honor Orchestra! Their selection reflects months of dedicated practice and the guidance of their NSA teachers.

Two of our violinists, Lucas Jiang and Rose Martin, will serve as concertmasters. Both students of Mary Straub, Lucas and Rose were also recognized at the MTNA Nevada State Competition this fall, where Lucas was named State Winner in Junior Strings and Rose earned Honorable Mention in Senior Strings.

Thank you to Scott Jackson, Mary Straub, Ai Melby, Tanya Hambourg and Robin Reinarz for preparing these students, and to their families for their support. We can’t wait to hear them perform!
